Vision
The Florida Whig Party is the first Whig political party in the United States with ballot access and voter registration affiliation in modern times. The Party is not liberal, conservative, or centrists in focus. Instead, the FWP is based upon the open minded classical liberal principles upon which this nation was founded. We believe in constructive and unbiased local solutions to problems rather than federalization and unfunded mandates with bureaucratic gridlock. We strongly oppose Modern Tories (both the Democratic and Republican branches) who seek to maintain the status quo in Washington, Tallahassee, county commissions, school boards, and city halls. We believe in the power of We the People and strongly oppose hypocrites who speak the words but do not deliver with deeds. For example, federal support of dictators who assist the United States on certain issues while suppressing the will of the people to self determination is destructive to the interests of our nation and mankind in the long run. As a registered political party with the Florida Secretary of State, Division of Elections, we strongly discourage lock-step thinking, a top-down political party organization and structure, affiliation with political movements that are not mutually tolerant, and hypocrites. We encourage open and rigorous discussion and debate of issues, out-of-the-box thinking, an organizational structure based upon grassroots Whig coalitions who agree to support principles before party, personality, and profits, with deeds not words, constructive contribution from all members, and Classical Whig movements and political party efforts from coast-to-coast and border to border . Mission Statement
Be it resolved that the Florida Whig Party believes that the time has come to end the despotism of the duopoly that grips the nation.
Therefore the Florida Whig Party shall work to cast off the decks of government, those we call Modern Tories, who have cast a long shadow of political distrust by the lawful and abiding brothers and sisters who occupy this great land, and shall govern with moderation to guard the present and future of this nation we call: The United States of America,
so help us God.
